Fintech Map Guideline

We wanted to explain categories one by one as we started to get very interesting and strange requests on the FinTech maps. The common characteristics of the startups/ventures in the map can be listed as follows.
- The target market should be Turkey (or operates in Turkey)
- The venture should see itself as an iniative to change finance industry with technology. (“We’re an entertainment company but using fintech solutions very innovatively” does not mean that it’s a fintech company)
- The purpose of the map is to give rough insights for potential domestic and foreign investors and acquirers. For that reason, government and bank subsidiaries are not included and the list is non-exhaustive.
- It’s not a 6493 map or BDDK map or “Startups founded in Turkey” Map. The only criteria is fintech companies operating in Turkey.
